Recycling in Germany

Waste Management Guidance for the local area:

If you live off-base you probably received the “Abfall-Fibel “, a waste management handbook. It provides for each particular location an on-line calendar listing the pick-up dates. You can choose between a print version, an e-mail reminder service and the possibility to import the pick-up dates into your personal on-line calendar.

The link takes you to the A.R.T. Abfuhrkalendar page.

German-American Student Exchange 18.01.18

The best student Exchange with our American counterparts so far!

First there was this timid approach, later lively conversations and fun tasks in English and German, then loud laughter and tasty German-American snacks.

Twenty-five exchange students from the American High School in Spangdahlem and their German teacher Ms Birgit Nicholson visited the St. Willibroard-Gymnasium in Bitburg. Completing personal descriptions together, communicating in a foreign language, tours, school routine and hopefully, establishing long-lasting contacts -- that was the planned program. Everyone was enthusiastic at the end of the day. The exchange was organized by the teachers Ms Claudia Müller and Ms Margret Beyer-Bretz. Financial support was provided by the Host Nation Council Spangdahlem.
